The traditional stomping grounds of many a seafaring captain. This active port has seen many changes over the generations and is still bustling with business to this day. Halls Harbour is located on the Bay of Fundy and home to forty foot tides taking approximately 6.5 hours to rise before taking another 6.5 hours to fall, twice a day. It's remarkable to actually stand on the wharf and watch the tide rise, around one inch per minute. This same tide was often tracked very closely by the locals and fishermen alike, as the strong currents of the Bay of Fundy were often a matter of life or death when traveling on the water.
